21st Birthday Card

Hi bloggers,

I was asked to make a 21st birthday card for a friend’s daughter who is studying photography at university.
I designed this 8” x 8” card
The background was made using an Inkylicious script stamp and silver embossing powder. I inked the edges using Distress ink.
The scallop mat was cut using my Cricut and the Elegant Edges cartridge.
I also used my Cricut to cut the doll (Paper Dolls Teen Scene cartridge), the cocktail drink (From my Kitchen cartridge) and the letters (Hannah Montana cartridge).
I covered the letters with Glossy accents and the hair band with glitter.

Pink Pram Best Wishes Card

Hi bloggers,

I have another baby card to share with you today.
The pink frame is cut with my Cricut using the Elegant Edges cartridge. Instead of discarding the centre piece I embossed it with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.
The pram is from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the lace.
The tag is from the Wrap It Up cartridge.
Thanks for stopping by.

Good Luck “Maternity Leave” Card 2

Hi bloggers,

Today I’d like to share with you an 8” x 8” card I made for another colleague going on maternity leave. You may notice that I’ve adapted a previous design I made!
I designed the scallop frame on my (Cricut) Gypsy and cut it at 6”. I also designed the scallop border strips on my Gypsy.
The pregnant lady is from the New Arrivals cartridge and I used a small Woodware punch for the heart that I covered with Glossy Accents.
The ribbon is so cute. It is pale pink with a pattern of silver bootees and rattles. I threaded it through the holes in the scallop frame and added a double bow at the bottom.
The tag is cut from the Wrap It Up cartridge
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you like my card.

Good Luck “Maternity Leave” Card 1

Hi bloggers,

A colleague went on maternity leave recently and I made this card for her.
I used the “Cherish” Martha Stewart punch around the page for the mat, layering a square in the centre that I embossed using the Swiss Dots embossing folder (one of my all time favourites).

The pregnant lady was cut on my Cricut using the New Arrivals cartridge. I cut a triangle from the body and layered a scan photo behind it.

I used Martha Stewart punches for the flower and leaves.

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you like my card.

Autumn Scarecrow Birthday Card

Hi bloggers,

Today I’d like to share with you an 8” x 8” birthday card I made for a late October birthday.

I used the kaisercraft crackle stamp with copper embossing powder to make the background.
I cut a burgundy 7.5” mat and a kraft 7” mat using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge and I used the same copper embossing powder around the edges of the Kraft mat.
The Scarecrow, pumpkins and birds are cut with my Cricut using the Simply Scarecrow cartridge. I used Bo Bunny patterned paper for the layers of the scarecrow and I tucked some raffia under the cuffs.
The rolled flower and leaves are also cut with my Cricut using the Flower Shoppe cartridge.
I used the Kaisercraft crackle stamp and copper embossing powder randomly on the leaves and punched a small hole in them so I could thread baker’s twine through them.
The letters are from the Danny’s Girl feature on the Hannah Montana cartridge covered in Glossy Accents.
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you like my card.

WW1 Postcards Mini Book (Bo Bunny Misc Me)

Hi bloggers,

I love to research my family history and used to spend hours talking to my nanny, listening to her stories and sharing her memories.

One time she had dug out some postcards from WW1 and we sat reading the messages together. I was so touched by them that I was compelled to learn more.

The resultant research is gathered in this mini book and it focuses on my great grand uncle who was severely wounded during WW1.

I chose a Bo Bunny Misc Me album and covered it with K & Co papers.

Front cover:

The poppy is a made using a Papermania build a poppy stamp set. I layered the petals and added black glitter to the centre. The leaves were cut with my Cricut and the Mother’s Day Bouquet cartridge.

I printed the text for the word strips on my computer and hand cut the ribbon edge shapes.
I used (Tim Holtz) grungeboard letters for the title, covering them with Vintage Photo Distress ink and embossing powder.

I love the way the page protectors allow you to see the front and back of the postcards.

Back cover:
I hope you like my mini book.
Thanks for stopping by.
